Translation of Matthew’s After-Show Chat (from )Thank you for watching. That was my vocal cover of “Fukurou san” by Three-san. Do you like owls? (“Furkurou” is Japanese for owls. It also means “no hardship”.) When I was a child, I liked owls very much. I had longing for the bird. Yes. Do you remember the owl from Harry Potter? The one Harry keeps…a homing pigeon. A pigeon……?! A homing owl. Hedwig! Isn’t he cute? He cocks his head like this (Matthew mimics Hedwig’s head movement.) There was a time in my life I wanted to keep an owl. But back then, I didn’t even dream that it was possible to keep an owl. I couldn’t ask my mother or father to get me an owl. I was fuming in my mind in frustration. But I wanted to get close to an owl. The solution I came up with was to mimic one. I mimicked a cry of an owl and said “whoo-hoo, whoo-hoo” endlessly. But! This mimicking of an owl is actually really good for vocal training for singing! In vocal training, this mimicking of an owl is practiced. So, the mini-me…the young Matthew trying to sound like an owl led to the present; me delivering my singing to you. The plot took a few decades to come to fruition. What a clever bird I am! Now, if you guys could share your love of owls, or other birds, or some episodes you have with birds, please write in the comments below. That would be very nice. Please Subscribe, Like and turn on the Bell for notification if you liked my clip. Thank you for your time. I’m Matthew. Until next time, bye-bye.
Translation of Matthew’s After-Show Chat (from )Thank you for watching. That was my vocal cover of “Animal” by DECO*27-san.DECO*27-san, happy birthday! (Matthew applauds.) I’m a bit late in sending him a happy birthday, though… December 16 was his birthday, I hear. His birthday was trending on Twitter! Wow. I’ve been thinking lately. I often talk about Vocaloid producers at the end of my videoclips, that they are so great. I’ve been thinking that DECO-san is phenomenal. Recently, Vocaloid culture is introduced in the mainstream media a lot. For example, a famous TV program like BUZZ RHYTHM does specials on Vocaloid. I thought, oh, time has come to shed light on Vocaloid culture. From around the time when DECO-san uploaded Vampire, I thought that there’s something special going on with DECO-san. His popularity sky-rocketed, I think. In the past, kids who loved Vocaloid culture flocked to DECO-san’s songs and praised him to high heaven. But nowadays, YouTubers who are not utaite, are starting to cover DECO-san’s songs like Vampire. From then on, the name DECO*27 has infiltrated into the general population, and to the whole wide world like this!! (He spreads his arms wide.) The world is experiencing DECO*27 phenomenon! I think he is unstoppable now! It’s so exciting for me to see a Vocaloid producer I always liked do so well. Once again, DECO*27-san, happy birthday to you. (He bows.) Why don’t you guys tell me which DECO*27 songs you like or say happy birthday to him in the Comments? That’ll make me very happy. ♪ Matthew’s After-Show Chat (from )Thank you for watching. That was my vocal cover of "Zankyō Sanka" ("Song of Reverberation") by Aimer-san. Hi. I’m white-haired Hashira “Doko Miten Nen (What are you looking at?)” At last, we can watch Entertainment District Arc of Demon Slayer (Yūkaku-hen of Kimetsu no Yaiba)! I’ve been really looking forward to it. It’s been a year since they released the movie Mugen Train. A year! Ever since I watched the Mugen Train movie, I’ve been looking forward to Entertainment District Arc on the edge of my seat. Before you know it, a year has passed. The brilliance of the anime aside, isn’t this song by Aimer-san, really dope? I was amazed. When this song was played in the first episode of Entertainment District Arc, how can I describe it… I trembled. My heart fluttered. All my chest just trembled with amazement. Seriously, the original MV is super cool. I hope you’d check out the original song by Aimer-san as well. Entertainment District Arc would get more dramatic as the story progresses. I hope you guys peel your eyes open wide and cheer it on. Let’s do it flamboyantly like me. (He chuckles.)Which character do you like from Demon Slayer? Or which scene? It rolls nicely out of the tongue. Syudou-san, congratulations on surpassing 500,000 subscribers!! What an achievement! I mean, it’s half a million! Wow. Syudou-san has been posting songs constantly, and every one of them are so brilliant, they strike you with like, a sharp knife, right? His songs make us, his listeners go “Ahhhhhh”. Well, I’m working hard to someday have half a million subscribers, too. I hope you’d cheer me on. Now, I hear this song is a theme song to a smart phone game “Compass”. I don’t know how to read the Chinese characters of the title, it’s complicated, so I’ll put the words on the screen. (He laughs.) Do you guys play smart phone games? I used to do them a lot. But I snapped out of it one day. There was this moment I realized that the time I was spending on playing them was rather futile. And I erased all my apps at that second. For all of you who are listening to me right now, I’ll give you the time, my life I was going to spend on smart phone games in the future. Why don’t you use it to play this Compass game? I welcome any comment in the Comments section, if you could write messages of congratulations to syudou-san, or maybe what kind of smart phone games you play, etc., I would appreciate it very much. Please Subscribe, Like and click on the Bell for notification if you liked my videoclip.
