Oh god, I just noticed something. In you can clearly see that the girl who's singing is also barefoot (in japan when someone wants to commit suicide they take their shoes off so others know it wasn't a murder) does that mean that she was also planning on commiting suicide?
is single handedly the most powerful leitmotif I have ever heard in any song to date. The moment I heard the 5 notes, it gave me goosebumps all over my body, and the way it resolved on the final note put a smile and tears on my face. I listened to My R recently, and heard that there was a second part to this story with the final song of album. Hoping that it offered the end to this story that I so desperately wanted. I was essentially crossing my fingers hoping that was the case when I first saw the girl being mentioned in this song. And my anticipation was gently put to rest in the most beautiful of ways. The choice of having those notes play without any vocals was *genius*I think it was a significantly more effective delivery of the motif. This also probably impacted way harder because I was familiar with the English version of My R first.Allowing the viewer to either hear the 5 words in their head, or allow them to sing it themself

It's absolutely great how he references a line in another song with only a few notes at . It's a beautiful little detail that tell us a bit more about the world created but the artist.
