For starters, this song has a wierd amount of religious lyrics. Right at , the lyrics say "oh God, the god of children. In the sandbox you had fun in, we are full of scratches", but before the singer could go one, the instrumentals cut them off. I think of this part as someone starting to question their own beliefs but being shut down by the people around them, maybe someone with a high religious status like a pastor or priest. The lyrics "We can't get out, so we won't go out. We can't get out, so close your eyes.." are repeated throughout the song and could mean trying to ignore all the bad experiences the singer had with their cult/opressive religion. You can't escape, you won't escape, so close your eyes and ignore everything. The chorus could represent the way people fall deeper and deeper into their beliefs as if they were falling into a vortex, until they slowly become more and more extremist. When the lyrics repeat, the "lalalala" could just be the singer trying to block off every thought of question that they could have, maybe because expressing said thoughts could leave them in trouble. It then goes on to say: "It's wrong, so wrong, but we are lonely, so lonely", this could maybe represent how many people join cults/opressive religions when they are in a vulnerable state, but when they realized how horrible it is, it's already too late. The phrase "we can't belong in this world or that world" is another one that is repeated along the song. I think it represents the "us versus them" kind of thought that cults, and even mainstream religions, implant into the believers' minds. They think of theirselves as different, better and somehow more special than non-believers, wich leads to them cutting themselves of to and kind of opinion that doesn't line up to their train of thought.

Always associated this melody with Moribund lol (mostly because I’ve never listened to this before but like I’ve connected it to Moribund more than anything from Act 3 or something)

(little timestamp for me)
my fav part
a bad mandela effect i had was that could’ve sworn "we’e the same, we’re the same, arent we?" was "you and me, you and me, the same are we not?"
but then why does it say "you" and "me" at ?
That tickled my right ear a little bit
for some reason the "samishi samishi" is a lil spooky, miku sounds so real until her voice starts to shake
so we not finna talk about that little giggle she did
i cant explain why, but this pause of music and subtle bass gives me a strange dread. Like its anticipating something horrible
I really like how the kick goes right when the timer hits 2 minutes
one of the best parts of any song ever the steel drums is one of the coolest uses of an instrument I've ever heard been given to a song
I never actually got to the end of this so while studying you can imagine my surprise when I hear my national instrument at -
John
Imma just describe what I see in my head when I listen to this part.
Don't mind me, just timestamps for myself
I agree, the steel drums add a whole 'nother level to the song, I feel like I would be less kikou without them tbh, especially at when the beat drops and miku screams, it makes me feel an emotion I've never felt before, like I'm dancing with a ghost in a well, the steel drums are an amazing touch in this peice of art
my dumbah, listening to the song for the first time.. get's to looks at screen in shock and bewilderment as well as offence before audibly saying in a house full of sleeping people "did you just roll your r's aggressively at me?!"
Me: oh wow this song is pretty cool ngl-Kikuo: aAAAAAA@ÃÂÃÂÆÀÁAAAAAAAAAlso me: oh mah gawd-
IT SOUNDS LIKE SHE'S DROWNING

The scream at …holy shit literal chills
If anyone wants to know, the reason why this song gives you a beach or sea vibe is because of the steel pans in the background, and steel pans are normally used in tropical places, and they come from Trinidad and Tobago. You can hear it clearly at .
One time I was listening to this song and at I took one side of my headphones away from my ear so I could hear what one of my family members was saying and when Miku was supposed to say "samishii, samishii…" it was just the instrumental playing with no vocals and I was so freaked out 😭
I JUST realised that at there are two voices tatata-ing, one in the left ear and one in the right, but then at
It reminds me of Msm (My singing monsters) mostly this part
there is a breath and the voice in the right ear dissappears and is replaced with steel pans, and then at
there is a second breath, and the second dissappears also, leaving no more voices.... I'm not sure what it means.... But it's there.... And it's such a small detail, and it's so clever, and I love it.
LETS GOOOOO
