i know a lot of people associate the meaning with human greed but i think it can also be about the internet, people started slowly at first, there were rumored to be great things on it, and eventually youtube, instagram, stuff like that, and everyone was climbing on top of each other for more fame at the cost of others. now a new generation is starting which is what i perceive at , gen Z is growing "old" and having kids and starting the cycle again with gen alpha discovering the internet and clambering over fame. this was probably a very minor thing at the time of the writing of this song but i feel it gets truer every second（00:04:02 - 00:05:18）
