Fashioned in garish paint, a crude tableau": The 'flower' being the original concept of the story containing a wlw relationship, repeatedly 'passed through countless hands' the higher ups forcing them to change it, to be 'fashioned in garish paint' and then becoming crude and messy.
"Each time a malfunctioning mind bleaches it clean," 'Malfunctioning mind' being the higher-ups, 'bleaching it clean' removing any obvious points of the relationship.The chorus seems to show two sides of this, Teto's lines talking about these things being in the sub-text and getting removed, Miku's lines being about ones who are done poorly

Or maybe the fact the audience expects these things to be within the sub-text that small things that aren't intended get seen as 'romantic interactions'. And then the end line saying how this way of righting makes people feel like it's the truth even outside the world, even if it's a messy 'Scarecrow' or literally *_Strawman_* (you know like... strawman argument? That's how I interrupted that line)
I notice how all of miku’s drawings are littered and splattered with pink, while Teto is completely clean. It really shows the “one sided sacrifice” really well♪ it also suggests that Teto might be manipulative, implied at -
idk why, but it sounds like an anime opening, in a good way. Even the mark is perfect for an opening cut off point.
