The "cold" that she always talks about in the song could mean to fear of rejection. In she mentions that "It's so cold, I can't do a single thing," meaning she was afraid to be rejected that's why she can't do a single thing (confess her feelings). Along with "Also, I'm running a fever, I can't move." This also associates the previous lyrics. We all know that when you have a fever, you can't really think straight. So if we put it altogether, she had a fever (where she can't think straight) because of the cold (fear of rejection).

I'm not sure myself of why Cooler Girl is the title for this one, all I got are two possible thoeries. One, I think it's a form of sarcasm towards herself. Since there were nothing cool mentioned in the entire lyrics of the song, I could only think that it's about the girl being sarcastic. Or two, it could be that she wishes to be cool since all she wants was to confess properly without being swayed by the fear of rejection. And of course, she still wishes to be cool after being rejected (if she was) just to say that she's prepared for what would be his reply. Maybe this could explain the lines on to
