The beginning and most of the song were so cheerful, but I was reminded of how some people who were suicidal acted uncharacteristically happy, like they were getting better on the day they decided to do it. It's like there's nothing that can hold them back anymore, so they feel extremely free. The ending notes at describe the moment they did it: as they jumped off the building and the world turned upside down, the music (thoughts) in their head raced too as they realized it's their last moments... This song is just incredibly tragic. Rest in peace Shiinamota. Your feelings will be remembered for generations.

I kinda like to think that she's singing to another girl. The lines about "I would like to keep that small face on my shoulder" and "the scent of your hair" around sounded more like something you'd say about a girl than a boy. I guess it's up to the viewer anyway, since her love interest is never shown. It's an adorable song regardless ^^
