the mc is an alcoholic who was a regular at the bartender man’s bar, he ended up in some sort of heavy depression where he barely left the house, (the scene at shows the bartender coming and possibly taking him from his home) and the bartender came and escorted him to his bar, allowing the mc’s addiction to alcohol to build heavily.

I think the instrument introduced at the end (starts at ) is supposed to be a lifeguard's whistle. The constant blowing represents a lifeguard urging everyone to leave the pool while the main character is seen figuratively drowning through the colored outlines. Meanwhile, the bartender is seen throwing what looks like a life preserver (but is actually just an inner tube) past the alcoholic and dancing like nothing is wrong. I also don't think it's a coincidence that the bartender is wearing what looks like a whistle at first glance but is actually just a regular necklace.
