it shows the child spinning with their hands on their chest while the hands open could show that the child is overwhelmed by all the requests. "tick, tick, the clock hands twitch forth. tock, tock, smashed to bits. gently, gently, let's go gather them up. trembling, trembling." this could show that over time the child grew tired and found it hard to keep up with the requests given to them but forced themselves to go fulfill all the requests given to them. "even though we were good kids," could mean that the child has always fulfilled the requests. "why does our journey lead us nowhere." could mean that the child believed that satisfying others will get them to succeed but instead, they just became someone else's toy. of course the child found it terrifying because they don't even know what is their real personality is anymore. anything after that just shows the child spiraling into insanity because of stress and constantly believing that they have a real identity and it will show itself sometime soon. and finally, in the end, it shows the hands finally getting want they want. "somewhere inside the toy that was taken away." it could mean that the child lost a part of their identity so being a proper childhood, a sense of free will or even the capability of understanding their emotions.
In ,"Even though we were good kids" shows that she's been obedient towards her parents, doing whatever they requested and never exploring her own likes.
