Our character we follow in the video may be in love with a human, or at least someone. At , we see him trying to touch, then grab the hand of the doll, which quickly change into a white flag. At first, I thought the "I love you" 's repeated in the video were random, I think they aren't. "I love you" may be what the character want to say to this person they like, but cannot. Because they "Can't breathe", something in the social rules, or the rules he is under, prevent him from doing so without breaking the "peace". I think the song overall is centered around the idea of being prevented from expressing oneself. It's about wanting to say what you're thinking, what you're feeling, but you stop yourself from saying them because of the social shackles society put on you. Because you have a "standing" and need to abide by the rules or risk causing problems for yourself or others. Plus, as it was said repeatedly in the comments of this video, the pronunciation of "Non-Breath Oblige" is a play on the term "Nobless Oblige", which ties to not being able to express yourself because you need to maintain standing or appearance.

どうしても交わることはできないけど、一緒にいたいってことなのかな…

So, they want to say they love them, but repress themselves, symbolised by the white flag the character is holding at after trying to take the doll hand. I do not quite understand the scene of the theater that follows, but maybe it symbolises the character having somewhat of an important place ? Or an important standing. I think this is why he is the target of some sort of hunt, or violent action towards them. They do not get shot literally, but I think it represents them realizing they are in danger. We then saw them running with leaves blowing around, I think it is literally representing them running in a forest, towards a safe place, the shelter we see then briefly at

But what is the danger ? From what are they running from ? A violent group, most likely. After the first scenes, at , we see an abundance of weapons and humans holding them. I think it represents an increasingly violent society, the one the character is part of. I believe the society the character lives in is suffering from an increase in extremism, more particularly, cultural extremism. This increase in tension between the two groups in the video (Humans and Sheep) is valid on both side. Both side are getting worst as time goes by. At

, "I want to live but I'm told to die. I want to die but I'm told to live" as the character falls into this colorful void is a representation of the paradox that if you want to exist and express yourself, there will be people who'd wish bad things upon you or agressively react, and yet if you stay silent and hold your breath to maintain appearance and peace there will be people who tell you to express yourself more and would want you to take part.

these lyrics are actually relatable ngl

"is it wrong to boast of my happiness? Is it wrong to grieve over my unhappiness?" Hits me lmao

At , this scene may represents the character stuck between wanting to tell or express his love (The flowers) and not being able (or willing) to talk about it or share it with their special someone (The chair, which may symbolises depression, suicidal thoughts). So the character is in a bad place, which is important because, just after that, we see a wolf staggering, with blood on it's hand, followed by faces of sheep smeared in blood. This could symbolise that this wolf (Probably a human, which are symbolised negatively by the sheep as wolves) was perceived as a source of danger, or that the sheeps had pin their problems on them. Just after that, at

feels like the overall suppressing of one's emotions, as if they should be some executing machine with no personal feedback on how they feel, like "obediently becoming a dog" says, the requirement to obey everything without asking questions or expressing emotion. It's probably also why "I hold my breath" is constantly stressed onto the listener towards the end. It's the thought of having to shut up and move on without ever doing something about it, postponing it until it stacks other things and makes someone crumble.

(And it's really quick, maybe have to slow down the video), we see the wolf on the floor, surrounded by sheeps (Due to their tails), followed by a hand holding a stone and throwing it. I think this scene is important and literal. I think there was a situation where some sheeps stoned a "wolf" because they may have thought that some things were their fault. And I think this "wolf" died in the process. And this was one violent event between the two people too many.

. The boy also has animal features, probably from a goat, there are various other animals too, such as the bear at , the Aimaina sheeps at (1)

この曲では狼が悪ってなってて、だから、反抗=悪で…

, and the character is afraid of them "Wielding chainsaw saying it's in self-defense". People are getting violent and dangerous, and they believe they are in the right, because they are defending themselves and their beliefs. Interestingly, it says "Afraid of Decent people". So it is a critique, but balanced by the fact that, in truth, the people wielding those chainsaws are "decent". I think that means that even if they react violently and out of proportions, they are still people, with reasons behind their violence, with their struggle, their complexes.

Anyway, returning at an earlier point in the video, after the stone is thrown, at we see a book getting closed, a mouth and someone with their hands up saying "There are many people in this world who can't breathe." I think those people, increasing in numbers, represent the extremism of humans, being convinced that they must act radically because "They can't breathe", they can't express negativity against the other people, in our case, the sheeps. They oppose themselves radically and violently against this group, believing that they are trying to be supressed, repressed in a way or another by the sheeps.

I might be overthinking, but the hooded person in the middle is the only one showing their hair and it looks a little bit like the main character in this story..

i really appreciate a song about depression in relation to the greater world and it’s effect on our depression. i feel a lot of people who make media about depression focus too much on feelings of self hate, but truthfully the current state of our world is definitely the reason our mental health is suffering at such high rates. the feeling of how big the world and it’s issues are can be absolutely suffocating when youre just one person in it. it’s exhausting and traumatizing to exist in the world as it is today. and

this one hits hard. During my depression I've often been compared to people unknown to me in objectively worse situations, without ever taking a moment to think of how such a person might actually perceive it. It's easy for someone to say when it doesn't affect them, it's hard to hear when it really does. If someone wants to say something about it they should actually try to comfort someone in such a dire situation, not make them feel guilty about being in that situation. That is not helping, far from it. This is later similarly repeated at

After that scene, at we get glimpses of different kind of games. I think each one is a facet of society, and the struggles within it. First we have chess, with two pawns, one sheep, one human. It may represent opposition of culture. Then we have what I believe is monopoly, so it represents money or propriety, an opposition of riches. After that comes the game of Go, which may represent an opposition of territories, a war of territory. Next comes Jenga, which represent a game of balance, probably representing the difficult and frail balance of society and how you are to be careful for it not to collapse on itself. I do not know the next game after this one and it's potential symbolism sadly. And the last one is a reference to a game called Pop-up Pirate I believe. A game of tension, because you have to put swords in the barrel until one eventually make the pirate pops up. The more you add, the more likely the pirate will pop. Therefore I do believe it to be a representation of tensions, violent ones, in society, that accumulates until one event eventually makes the whole thing blow up with dire consequences. Then, it may mean that the "wolf" we saw being stoned was this event that made everything go "pop" like said, especially because, as cards are thrown in the air, so is one doll, and the dolls without sheep wool in the video may be meant to represent humans.

Afterwards, there is the sentence "I stop in the minefield and obediently becomes a dog", which may be again a reference to how the character feels regarding what they have to do in this society not to "blow up" the mines made by the social rules, so they "become a dog", meaning they shut their mouth and obey those rules. We then get "No-Breath Oblige" : They cannot express themselves, they abide by the rules. The scene between and

At we have some visuals I'm not really sure of the meaning. At first there is an insect crossing a very thin bridge, which may represent the relation between the two cultures and maybe the insect crossing represents a change in allegiance ? We see a city, then a shot of a board with informations on it. There seems to be pictures of people put on there, maybe perpetrators or victims, if we believe the society the character lives in is becoming more and more violent. "For the sake of our convenience and freedom, we obligate ourselves to hold our breath", in order to maintain peace (Social peace, personnal peace...) with others, we swallow our feelings and what we'd want to say, we do not allow ourselves to "breathe". The fantastic visual of the character joining hands and lowering their head against a strong wind is the representation of them focusing and finding strength in order to prevent themselves from breathing, thus the multiples "I can't breathe" which is what the character truly think when he upholds the standing he has to have with others and the society around him.

pretty well reminds that it's sometimes easier to "obligate ourselves to hold our breath" and not do anything about our problems, afraid of making things unnecessarily complicated and more stressful, especially with the wrong people.

At , we very briefly (Slow down the video again) sheep people climbing on each other, and all holding the main character. It looks as if they're holding him down, or pulling him down. Maybe it represents the social standing the character has to have. He is from this race of sheep people, with their culture, and he feel as if those are chains preventing him from getting to "A brilliant love, brilliant spring" ? "Important things are disappearing each and every day" is the next line, while two hooded figures are putting a painting of a sheep. Again, I think the hooded figures are humans that fell into extreme ways and literally trying to remove the symbols, the representations, of the sheeps. This extremism is met by anguish, pain and resentment by the sheeps. At

, we see groups of figures, but without the hood. We can see their horns, and they have their hands joined in union. It may symbolizes the fact that the sheeps answer this violence saying "There are many people in this world who don't even know love". They answer those extremes with, what I believe is, another extreme. Getting close to each other, and being one front against the humans. Because we do not see any humans in this group, sheeps and only sheeps. They answer by saying they too are surpressed, oppressed, and cry against the rising of those violence with what could be called communitarianism ? stand out to me because it reminds me of the people who will demean your experience with mental health just because you live comfortably and have the bare minimum, ignoring how that just makes us feel guiltier and less worthy of our lives. why should i, of all the suffering people in the world, get to live with a roof over my head and food on the table? there are millions of people you need it more and deserve it more than i do. its just really powerful and i havent seen enough people mention it.

I am saying this because I think this event is referenced again at (Again, it goes really quick, may have to slow down the video). We see bloody hands smearing the sheep people on the representation we saw at the beginning. At first I thought this was saying the sheep people were attacked, but after looking around a bit, I think it represents bloodlust. Bloodlust seeping into the sheeps, against the wolves. We then see a stone cut in half, to show the colors inside. I have no idea of the meaning of this. We see then stones on display, probably for selling them. But for what ? The next image is a bit dreadful. We see a figure hanged by their feet on a what looks like something made for an execution. We see sheep people around, so we may assume this figure is a human. The words "Sympathy, envy, jealousy and resentment" are an evolution of feelings, that grows increasingly negative which may indicate the evolution of the feelings of the character. One of my friend said that apparently, when someone is getting stoned as an execution, they sometimes get hanged by their feet ? I do not know if that's true.

. And at , right after the previous thing, we can see meat for sale-

But what about our main character ? We see them at with "Black tears falling down". I believe that the character participated in this cruel event, due to their frustration and "ugly emotions", but immeditaly had regrets about the deed they had done. Since they let out their "Ugly emotions" they became "Snow White Birds". I think that's meant to say they saw the ugliness of actively participating in the increase of tension and violence, and that by expressing themselves in this wrong way, they felt at first relief of those emotions getting out, but regret realizing the horror of releasing it this way. What follows at is interesting. Because I feel like it can be taken in a lot of ways, and be both literal and symbolism. At least I think the message behind it is clear, but the situation is really weird in the story theory I'm presenting. We see a hand trying to reach out, then a flash of images and colors, of previous times in the video, presented on a phone screen that is smashed at the end. With the lines "We don't directly do anything in person. Through the liquid crystal that robs our imagination, we hold our breaths and feel secure.". I think the message conveyed is related to how their community (And ours) is hyper-connected, and that we can find all kind of experiences, all kind of talk, all kind of images, all kind of anything really, with the internet, social media, our phones. And that we can "do anything" and feel secured that it will not blow up in our face directly. It's about the security of not having to "do anything" in person, protected behind a screen. About not talking directly, face to face, to one another. Maybe it also means that the social rules that binds us are less present there, and that results in chaos ? (The part with all the phones behind our character and him apparently screaming and just fading in). Not sure about "Robs us of our imagination" part however.
